Welcomed into God's Family

Today we welcomed our Ellie Karen into God's Family... Many friends and family were able to join us at church and then back at our house to celebrate. We are so blessed to have been given this little girl to raise and love!!!

Uncle Chris blessed us by singing "Borning Cry" which was also sung at our wedding...Ellie took it all in with her eyes closed
Ellie's sponsors ...my brother and sister-in-law Greg and Dawn

A very blessed family

We are thankful for all the wonderful people that surround Ellie and love her

This was her status much of the day...she slept through the entire service...such a good girl

Wait...what just happened? What did I miss while I was sleeping?

Ellie went to the doctor last week...all is great. She weighed in at 8lbs 13 oz. Doctor was pleased and said their main goal is to have babies back to their birth weight and she passed that. He also said he is pretty sure they measured her length wrong in the hospital because last Monday she was 21.5 inches long...and he was pretty sure she didn't grow 2 inches in 2 weeks. She is starting to smile more and we are loving each minute that we get to spend with her!!!

Mommy loving her little Ellie...We have seen more of her eyes in the last week...we prefer during the day rather than at 3am...but she is sweet none the less!!

Her bouncy seat is a favorite sleeping spot during the day

Mommy and Ellie's morning time together...this is my favorite time of day!!! She does lots of looking around!

All that looking around tends to make her sleepy...

Once again enjoying her bouncy seat...

A post wouldn't be complete without a daddy/Ellie sleeping picture

Luke, Tammy, and the kids came to meet Miss Ellie

Week 2...Ellie continues to be a very easy baby...she is still sleeping well at night and eating well. Ellie and mom went to school yesterday so that mom could get some stuff that she needed for finishing report cards. She got to visit with some of the teachers.

All are doing well

Everyone is adjusting well to having Ellie at home. She is a great baby...she has been sleeping very well, the last two nights she has gone 4 hours and 5 hours respectively ~Mom and Dad sure can't complain about that. This morning she had her first bath, despite the pictures...it wasn't her favorite but she didn't cry the whole time. She would rather just be snugly and warm. Grandma and Grandpa Haecker have enjoyed holding her and loving on her.

Grandpa gets in some holding time...(impressive that Grandma has given her up)

Sleeping soundly after her bath

all done with the bath...Ellie is thinking could you just please get me dressed

excuse me what are we doing here, asks Ellie

Ellie and Daddy enjoy their first Saturday morning sleeping

This is what Grandma and Grandpa did a lot..one held Ellie and the other held the one that thinks he is a baby
