All Home!!!

Ellie and Mom got to come home this evening!!! It is nice to be home and in our own space. The hospital was a hopping place the last couple of days, when we got to the hospital there was one other person in labor and she gave birth shortly after we got there. It was just us then for part of the day...since then it has been crazy busy with babies babies babies!!!
Ellie is doing well eating, sleeping and being cute! Here are a few pictures of her coming home...more pictures to come (because never fear we have plenty)

Baby Update

Doctors appointment today...she said that I was only at 1cm...guessing I will be back there next week!! Baby has dropped somewhat so we should be in the home stretch. My belly continues to grow, still amazes me how all this is possible!!! God is amazing! This picture was taken at 37 Weeks.Bailey once in a while will sniff my belly and give it "kisses". He is a goofy dog!

Again he hasn't figured out he isn't the baby we are referring too.

This past Sunday we did Christmas present exchange with Hildebrandts, now that they are all on the mend to being healthy. Erik helps Tate extract his new toy from the box.

Both boys opening name puzzles.

Pete and his new level...fun stuff!!!

Cade checking out mommy's new plates.

Tate very intent on his "driving"

Mr. Cade with a big ol' smile, what a cutie!

Tate and baby mom show off their bellies and goofy looking belly buttons.
Cade also attempting to show off his belly

Yesterday, Wed. Jan. 7th...feeling very large!!

Hopefully we will get to meet him or her soon!!!

Catching up

So the last weeks have come and gone and unfortunately posting hasn't made the top of the list...
Basketball season is in full swing for me at school and this year I purposely scheduled all our home games early in the season so I could be there for them before the baby comes, rather than having to get people to do all that goes into it.
Still feeling pretty good, not always the most comfortable but needless to say if that is as bad as it gets I feel very fortunate. We are down to only a few weeks...amazing how fast time passes.
I have included pictures to hopefully catch everyone up on what has been going on...

Before Thanksgiving Pete's Aunt and Uncle were up for visit from TX. We spent an afternoon together, had lunch and enjoyed time together!!! It was great to see them.

For Thanksgiving this year we spent it in Florida with my parents and all my brothers and their families. It was great to be in warm weather and see everyone. Pete had a little buddy, my nephew Aidan as he (Pete) did some misc. jobs around their house.
The entire crew of Haeckers...from WI, VA, FL, IL and us.

Pete and I posing as a family of 2 for one of the final times!

All the cousins...soon to have one more added

This year for Christmas Pete and I were home. We spent Christmas Day going to church, exchanging gifts with one another and then we headed over to Erik and Alyssa's and had a great dinner with them and Alyssa's family. We will be getting together with my parents and brother hopefully next weekend!!! It was low key and quiet...can't complain at all.

A belly picture of our little person, which we can't wait to meet!

Merry Christmas from Pete and I. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and continue to get more excited to share baby news with you as it develops. (Doctors appointment on Friday)

Here are some quick pictures of Bailey testing out the new equipment for the baby. It looks like he approves. Please note: for all those concerned, the pacifier will be disinfected before the baby uses it.

Doctors office called today to say all results were fine from the glucose test!!! Good News!! Our little world has been fairly routine! We ordered baby furniture last weekend as we figured it was about time to start getting things in order since we are down to about 10 weeks left and counting. Am feeling pretty good, baby is moving all the time which is still an amazing thing to me each and everyday!! It is fun to have Pete feel it moving all around and kicking. Have a little bit of a belly, as a mom told me the other day in car line, "you are beginning to look plump", not sure how I feel about this comment, really wanted to say I'm not a hot dog. However, I guess everyone has their own expressions.

Baby Update

Last week I went for an appointment in which they did the glucose test and drew blood. Doctor said baby's heart rate was in the high 130's/low 140's which is much lower than it was the last several visits, when it has been in the high 160's. Doctor seemed content with weight gain, baby's size, etc.
They did call yesterday however and said that my numbers from the glucose test were slightly high and want me to come back in for the 3 hour test. So next Monday I will go spend some quality time at the office and give them several samples of my blood, I certainly can't think of any better way to spend Monday morning can you?? Anyway we figure we will wait to see what they have to say before we really concern ourselves with the situation. At this point I am more unhappy with having to be stuck 4 times than anything else, but again we will cross bridges when we get to them!! Can't really believe overall how fast the time is going and that at this point we are in the home stretch!
Other than that life continues to be about the same, Pete is getting use to his new position at Nipsco and I am keeping busy with school as basketball season officially starts today and parent teacher conferences are next week!!!

This past weekend we celebrated Cade's birthday while camping with many friends. We headed to Tippecanoe State Park Friday evening and spent the weekend. Cade's birthday party was Saturday. The weather was nice, a little cold at night but everyone survived and had a good time. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
